Photo 1-2: Project 11 - Stop Animation

Here is my stop animation video In my stop motion, I decided to make it simple, humorous and somewhat sarcastic. I took it simply by taking shot by shot of slight shifts in between some toy army men (army men who reside in yoga positions)to make it appear that they are fighting. I found it humorous and sarcastic due to the audio clip I used (which I pulled from "Fallout 4")that talks about war from a darker standpoint. To add to this atmosphere, I put a dark filter on the video.

Project 10: Utopia and Dystopia

My Utopia
My Utopia shows Portland as a sunny, lush and happy place through plants and the liveliness of the city.
My Dystopia
In my Dystopia, I try to show Portland as a dark and bland through parking garages and malls.
Pre-work:
- A Utopia, in my eyes, is a video that portrays a pretty and dream-like world/setting through short and simple video takes of a place.

- A Dystopia is the polar opposite of a Utopia. It portrays a gloomy and nightmare like world that gives off a very dark feeling.

- In the movie "Baraka" I see a large amount of time-lapse and stop-motion influence. It is not your typical Dystopia but it is an effective one because it compares the manufacturing/torturing to everyday people in an intense manner without using a single word.

Project 9: Magazine

In this project, we explored our personal interests and photographed them to make our own, original magazine! We learned about how to stage and take a photo shoot, set up a magazine layout and how to format it! In my magazine, I took pictures of modern fashion with my friends in the downtown, Portland area.

Project 8: Commercial Art and Fine Art

"Supreme and Homeless Man Shoes" - Commercial

"Prom" - Commercial

"Pizza" - Fine Art

"Icey" - Fine Art

Project 8-Two Portraits - Pre-work

I liked how this photo uses dark lighting and coloring to give off a dark and menacing sort of mood. I also like this photo because it is clear, displays rule of thirds and dark exposure.

This picture shows composition of texture and also has dark lighting to present a somewhat gloomy image that still appears crisp and clear. It also has good contrast.

I like this cover because it is well centered and clear. I also like how intense it is.
I like this one because it has a more intense and grainy taste to it  but has a clear focus. The greenish/yellow tint is also enjoyable.

The magazine covers and fine art both have clear focus and perception although the magazine covers seem to all have focus on one particular person with no sort of complex background while the fine art have far more to catch your eye aside from the person or main subject of the image.

Project 7: Surrealism and Photo Montage

"Candy Land"
In this project, we were supposed make a surrealist photo in which we takes clips of different pictures we have taken and piece them together into something imaginative. For this photo, I just placed a bunch of pictures of colorful lollipops that I took at Rocketfizz, a candy store downtown, an image of my friend licking one of the air (place to look like he is licking the candy, and put them across the ceiling of Pioneer Place. I like this picture because I thought it was humorous and showed something that you can't see in reality.
