Photography 1-2: Project 2 Color an Grids

In this project we learned about grids and how colors affect the pictures we take. Having one main color that engulfs the photo shows off and captures a specific mood (hence the name: mood photo) or evokes an emotion from the viewer. For example, a picture that is mainly a dark shade of red may give off a sort of intense, romantic or passionate mood.

Bamboo grid

In this grid, I tried to give off a cool, green color to depict nature growth and lushness. I also wanted it to be bright and contain bold highlights in order to catch people's attention. 

Purple flower grid

In this one, I just wanted to create a nice looking picture that is also based around nature and to show the bright and "poppier" sides of nature. 

Red flower grid

In this grid I wanted to express a darker and more passionate mood, which I thought could be depicted in this silky, red flower.

Violin grid

 I took this picture at the Holocaust memorial and I really liked the gray coloring with the light tints of green and orange in it. I think it did a good job of expressing early fall weather. 

White flower grid

My goal for this grid was to display brighter and darker shades of white that manages to maintain a clean and detailed image throughout the grid.

In this grid I also wanted to show the clean and detailed features of the white flower but at a closer range. 

Mood photo

I always found the color red to be a more passion evoking shade, especially when it is darker. In this photo, I thought it delivered a dark and intense kind of mood due to its dark and dramatic red shade.
